The Brief
Stiller was expanding into a new £1.1 million warehouse in County Durham and needed a high-density racking solution that could maximise space, support rapid stock movement, and integrate seamlessly with Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) handling equipment. From day one, the system had to be ready to go no compromise.
The Challenge
With a clean slate and an open 40,000 sq ft footprint, the challenge was to extract maximum capacity without sacrificing speed or safety. Every aisle, beam, and bay had to be designed around precise MHE tolerances. The system had to be delivered quickly, accurately, and in full compliance with CDM 2015.
What We Delivered
- Design, supply and installation of a VNA racking system configured for 5,000 pallet positions
- Precise layout planning for forklift access, pick speed and future scalability
- Customised aisle widths and beam heights optimised for Stiller’s equipment
- Installation delivered under CDM 2015, with full project-specific H&S documentation
- Seamlessly integrated into the broader warehouse fit-out, with zero disruption to other work
The Result
Stiller now operates a streamlined, high-capacity warehouse, with every square metre working harder. The racking system supports fast, flexible, and safe logistics, forming a future-ready backbone for their expanding distribution operations fully operational from day one.
